Steinway Model M (1923-24)
$13,900
Our shop has spared no expense in restoring this gorgeous piano to factory specifications. This Steinway M has been fitted with a new pin block, pins, and strings. The bridges have been worked on, and the action has been fully regulated. In addition, all exterior hardware has been cleaned and polished, including the pedals. It is in a dark walnut finish.
The Steinway Model M is one of the most popular grand piano designs ever produced. Designed for homes and studios, the smaller 5'7" size partners the responsive touch and rich tone of the much larger Steinway grand pianos. The incredibly deep and resonant sound is supported by a 10-layer hard rock maple rim and solid spruce soundboard.
This M has recently celebrated its centennial, as it was most likely built in 1923 or '24. Upon research, a marking inside, "B4771," indicates that this piano may have lived in Sydney, Australia, in the 1930s! It was sold by Christie's piano auctions, who are still in business today.
Built during an infamous era of superior craftsmanship, but given a new breath of life. This is a wonderful opportunity to own not only one of the most popular Steinway models, but one of the most coveted grand pianos ever designed.
